Anna Skorobogatowa | Branding + Website Design

Reading time: 3 minutes

Anna Skorobogatowa is the heart behind Not Just A Spouse, a space she created for trailing spouses who want to feel confident, joyful, and fulfilled again even while navigating expat life and constant change.

When we first connected, I immediately felt the calm, grounded energy she brings into her work. She’s a mom, an expat, a coach, and someone who genuinely wants to help women rediscover themselves. And I could already tell her brand needed to reflect that softness and strength she naturally carries.

Before diving into her full website, we started with a landing page for her ‘Coffee Mornings with Anna’. This became a great starting point where people subscribed and stayed connected with her while we slowly built her brand. It helped her begin growing her audience, giving her early momentum and a reassuring boost for her business even before the full site was built.

The overall feel of her brand mirrors the peaceful, welcoming space she’s creating for her audience. We used the colors of light pink, mint green, soft blue, touches of metallic gold, and gray.

Every part of her website was designed to feel like a safe corner of the internet where women can breathe, reflect, and feel supported. And that’s exactly what Not Just A Spouse is all about.

I’d say I had a lot of FUN doing this brand because it aligned so well with Anna’s personality and her business. Which is what I always aim for whenever I have big projects like this.

The hero image of her homepage captures a serene moment of a family. A mom, dad, and little child, gazing out at the ocean, radiating peace and contentment. We paired this with the headline, 'Shine Beyond the Shadow,' it instantly conveys her mission: guiding trailing spouses worldwide to pursue their dreams and find fulfillment, all while supporting family adventures.

The combination of image and messaging sets the tone for the entire site (welcoming, empathetic, and inspiring visitors to imagine the life they truly want).

I love checking in with clients after we finish a project, so I asked Anna a few questions to hear her genuine thoughts about the whole experience.

Anna Skorobogatowa Founder of Not Just A Spouse

“I’m so happy with my website! My friends say it is very ME!” — Anna Skorobogatowa

What’s your favorite part of your new branding and website?

Anna: I love the energy of the brand! The fonts, colours and the layout. It’s beautifully made, the aesthetics and the functionality of it.

How do you think this updated look impacted your business?

Anna: I have a place where people can find me online and I’ve been getting lots of positive feedback on how beautiful and professional my website looks.

Did we successfully accomplish your design goals? What was your favorite part about working together?

Anna: Yes, absolutely! I really appreciated your flexibility and patience, especially because I kept changing my mind throughout the process. It took me longer than expected to complete my website due to personal reasons, but at no point did I ever feel pressured or uncomfortable working with you. Communication was always easy and clear.

It truly felt like a team effort. When you’re creating a business, it constantly feels like there’s something you can improve — the copy, the layout, this, that — and reaching a point where you’re genuinely satisfied can take time. Working with you, Ara, was perfect for me because I never felt rushed. I always felt heard, and you helped turn all my ideas and thoughts into something tangible and real. I’m very happy with the final result.
